What to Wear - August Edition

What to wear to your photo shoot (engagement, family etc).  I see this question come up all the time, so I thought every month I'd make a couple outfits that demonstrate some good ideas of what to wear.  Often times you'll be able to change outfits so I've included both a casual and dress outfit.  Why should you listen to me about fashion when most days I don't even get out of my pajamas?  We'll these are just some general ideas.  I'm not telling you that you should buy the exact outfit I posted here, but instead my outfits should provide some general guidelines if you find yourself stuck while trying to dress for a photo shoot.  I also spend wayyyyy to much time reading about fashion in clothes so I'm not completely in the dark about what the current trends are.  Here are some of my thoughts about what you should wear in general.
  • Clothes you feel comfortable in - It won't matter how hot that dress makes you look if you feel akward in it, you're probably gonna look akward in the picture.
  • Clothes that you would wear anyways - You may gussy yourself up more than normal for your photoshoot, but don't wear clothes that you would never dream of wearing normally.  Your pictures should be a reflection of who you are and your clothing choices are a part of that.
  • Keep it simple - Don't go crazy with accessories, or patterns.  Although clothes are important in the shoot, the pictures are really about you and you don't want the clothes to take center stage.
So for August I put the outfits together with the thought process that IT'S HOT!  So I kept the colors and fabrics light.  This will keep you cool for the photo shoot and by keeping the colors to a minimum you can let the beautiful summer plant life add color to your photos.

  1. There are many kinds of home base jobs or business these days. The possibilities are never-ending but the difficulty of most people today, is how to keep up with some of the advance competitors. You could also try something new and experiment with things. If you already feel that you like what you're doing and you are actually enjoying it, that's the first sign that you are getting closer to your success.
