Sifting through the photos, turning them over to see if it would tell me who was in each photo, it was such an experience with multiple senses involved. You're not just looking at these photos, but you're touching them, holding them, you're holding onto a piece of your own history and past.
The beauty of a photograph, even though you were born fifty years after the photo you're holding was taken, is that it lets you be there in that moment.
And that is why it's so important to get an album of your wedding photos. An album is an heirloom item, something you have the power to have created, that you can pass down from generation to the next in your family, an heirloom that long after we're gone will tell such a special story about who we are.
I am so excited to show you the new albums I'll be carrying from Finao. These are beautiful 100% handmade in the USA albums.
Finao creates beautiful flush mount albums with tons of cover options to fit every type of client.
And they are a green company which I absolutely love!!
So when you are debating whether or not you should order an album from your photographer, take a moment to think about how a picture feels in our hands, that tactile sensation of holding a piece of art, and not just any piece of art, a piece that reflects a moment of our own lives! A piece of art that we can pass down through our generations.

nice! :)
ReplyDeleteYou made me tear up. Great blog!
ReplyDeleteYour album looks beautiful! I think an album/heirloom is so much more romantic than a computer, and much easier to pass onto the next generation. :)
