Ashley & Jon - Rock the Dress Session

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I have a bunch of fun sessions to share with you and I'm excited to start with Ashley & Jon's sunny rock the dress session. 

I get asked a lot what a rock the dress session is (also known as trash the dress, or day after sessions). They are essentially a portrait session where the couple (or often just the bride) dresses back up in their wedding attire. It gives the couple a chance to get more portraits of the two of them in a relaxed setting and they often take place in unique locations.

For Ashley & Jon's we started off wandering around Onondaga Lake Park and then they proceeded to go canoeing in their wedding outfits! They love canoeing, so it was the perfect idea for their rock the dress session.  The session also gave us the opportunity to get some more photos with their dog, Lucy, since she was pretty excited on the day of the wedding!  Enjoy these favorites from the session :).
